Your confirmation message went out. The customer read it, or did not, and said nothing. Now the order sits in limbo: ship it and risk a refusal at the door, or hold it and risk an annoyed customer asking where their parcel is. Most stores guess. The stores that do not lose money to returns have a rule instead of a guess.
What a no-reply rule looks like
Wait a set window, send one short second message, then hold the order. The window is short - an evening order gets its second message the next morning, not three days later when the customer has forgotten the purchase.
The second message is shorter than the first and asks for one decision:
"Hi Priya, quick check on your Saanvi Studio order #1042 (₹1,499, cash on delivery). Should we ship it? Reply 1 to Ship, 2 to Cancel. If we do not hear back, we will hold the order for you."

One second message, not three. Each extra nudge trades a small chance of a reply for a real chance of being muted or reported. After the second message, silence is the answer you plan around.
Why "hold" is the money-saving default
No reply means hold, not ship. A held order can still ship tomorrow, and the customer who replies late is usually relieved, not angry. A shipped unconfirmed order converts a maybe into a round trip - and a parcel that comes back needs its own conversation, which we broke down in A failed delivery needs a customer answer, not another attempt.
The full confirmation flow - what the first message says and what each reply does to the order - is in The COD order isn't confirmed until the customer says so.
This decision is what Hextor's confirmation flow automates
Hextor's COD confirmation flow sends the first message before a label is printed, follows up the number of times you set, and then holds the order rather than shipping it into silence. Confirms go to dispatch, cancels and changes go to a person, and customers can take a discount you set to switch to prepaid. It runs on your Shopify store, from your WhatsApp number, in your voice - and it keeps running even if you stop working with Hextor.
