The reply says "yes, confirm". The address underneath says only a house number and a city. Your team now has a confirmed COD order that a courier may not be able to find. Treating the yes as the end of the job moves the problem to delivery day, where it costs more to fix.
A confirmation covers the order, not the address
A customer can truthfully confirm that they want the items and still have typed an incomplete address at checkout. The confirmed-order article explains why the customer's answer matters. The same logic applies here: the answer covers what they were asked. If the address was never put in front of them, it was never checked.

Hold the label and ask one specific question
When the address looks incomplete, the order should wait before the label is printed. The follow-up should ask for the one missing piece, such as a landmark or floor, instead of sending the customer a form. The first-line article and the confirmation message itself are the natural places to show the address so the customer can correct it.
Avoid wording that blames the customer. "Please check this address so the courier can find you" reads very differently from "your address is invalid".
Know when a person should look
Some cases are not a missing landmark. The address may not match the pin code, or the customer may reply with something the flow cannot interpret. Those belong with a team member who can read the order and decide. Keep the original order and the reply together so nobody has to ask the customer to repeat themselves.

Saanvi Studio: the yes that was not enough
In this fictional example, Priya confirms her COD order at Saanvi Studio. The address has no landmark, so the order stays held and she receives one question asking for it. She replies, the team sees the updated address next to the order and releases it for dispatch. If she does not reply, the store's no-reply rule applies, as in the no-reply article.
What Hextor builds around the address check
Hextor builds WhatsApp COD confirmation flows for Shopify stores, with confirmation before the label is printed. During the audit, you can decide which address problems should trigger a question, which should go to a person and what the order status shows meanwhile. The flow runs in your own accounts. It is a way to catch problems earlier, not a guarantee of delivery.
Tap the "Ask anything" WhatsApp button and tell us where your team gets stuck. Start with a free 30-minute audit to discuss what the flow would need to handle in your Shopify store.
